STUDY FINDS THAT GROUP HEALING MEDITATIONS AFFECT RANDOM NUMBER GENERATORS AROUND THE WORLD
A peer-reviewed study from the Global Consciousness Project has found that during 15 large healing meditations involving between 1,000 and 2,000 participants, on-site random number generators (RNGs) on stage became significantly correlated with a global network of hundreds of RNGs spread around the world.
Mass meditation, such as my monthly online Global Healing Events, involves large groups of people meditating together, often with a shared intent like world peace or aiming to create positive collective shifts. Previous research suggests benefits like reduced conflict and increased well-being, organised through live events or online platforms, can indeed occur.
RNGs are hardware devices or software algorithms that spawn a different sequence of numbers (and/or) symbols every time they are activated - pretty much like tossing a coin but in a digital world. This imaginary digital coin can have as many ‘sides’ as needed to maintain a high level of randomness.
Whilst these devices are engineered to be purely random, during the mass healing sessions in the study their behaviour lined up in a way that was highly unlikely by chance. This occurred only during the healing sessions and not during other activities.
When all the healing sessions were combined, the local network of RNGs showed an “evoked response” - like a pattern - suggesting that a coherently focused group can generate a detectable signal in the global consciousness field.
“The study revealed a striking and unexpected pattern: during healing meditations, the behaviour of the local RNG Network and the Global RNG Network showed consistent correlations across 15 separate healing meditations,” the researchers report.
“While these two independent systems are designed to behave randomly and independently, their coherence trends frequently mirrored one another during healing periods. This implies that something occurring during the healing is influencing both networks.
“This supports the hypothesis that the actions of a small, focused and coherent group are connected and impact the coherence of planetary consciousness.”
